Classifying the peizo buzzer

1. The drive methods: we can divide the peizo buzzer into two parts: self drive (inner circuit, DC type, active), and external drive ( no circuit, AC type, passive).

2. The solder fixed methods: there are three types, Pin, Wire, and SMT(SMD) types.

Piezo elements are also available, but in order to generate enough SPL, we should design a sound chamber in the mechanism.

The work principle is through the piezoelectric effect from the piezoelectric ceramic which drives the metallic diaphragm to vibrate the sound.
